Bufi is the solo project of Mateo Gonzalez Bufi, a producer hailing from Mexico, French des-cendant and born in the mid 80’s.
Having surfed between many musical genres, his music is the result of a wide spectrum of influences, ranging from early chicago acid house or detroit techno, to Scandinavian nu-disco, to 80’s post-punk/dark wave and 70’s krautrock.
His music has been supported by nu-disco / techno personalities such as Moullinex, Xinobi, Justin Robertson, Alexander Robotnick, Emperor Machine, Aeroplane and Tensnake. He’s been released on Duro, Kitsuné, Record Makers, Electrique Music, LaBelle and ISM, and here at Discotexas: we released his last studio album ‘Revelación’, which we also pressed on vinyl. It’s available in our Store and comes strongly recommended across the board.
