It’s cold, rainy and Xmas outside, so we thought it might be a good idea to give you another installment of our top tracks of 2009 series. Cpt. Luvlace is not only the master dj technician of the Discotexas gang, he’s also working on tracks to start his production career with a bang. Below, his top 10 (actually 10, too!) tracks of 2009! Oh, and to top off his list, he’s added comments for each track.
Apologies for the video/audio quality and the poor poor handling of the record when turning sides (one hand was obviously holding the iphone). Remember kids, don’t hold your records like that at home! Give them some love!
After Xinobi‘s, Flip‘s and Rockets‘, here’s the contribution from Moullinex for our top 10 tracks of 2009 list. Following the ancient tradition of actually providing more than 10 tracks – “eleven tracks i played far too many times (or wish i had more chances to play), in no special order.”
6th Borough Project – Do It To The Max [Instruments of Rapture]
Jackpot – Ragazza [Permanent Vacation]
C.O.M.B.I – Ma Bakes [C.O.M.B.I]
In Flagranti – Business Acumen (Holy Ghost! cover version) [Kitsune]
Shit Robot – Simple Things (Work it Out) (Todd Terje Remix) [DFA]
Den Haan – Release The Beast [Optimo Music]
Munk – No Milk (Ben Mono Remix) [Gomma]
Grace Jones – Williams Blood (Aeroplane Remix) [Wall of Sound]
Vitalic – Poison Lips [Citizen]
Whomadewho – Keep Me in My Place (DJ Koze Remix) [Gomma]
Still Going – Spaghetti Circus [DFA]

Time for another installment of our year-ending top 10 track lists. And, you guessed it, we’re still weird when it comes to basic arithmetics, so here’s 11 tracks selected by yours truly for the top tracks of this year. A couple are older, but they really came to life this year in our parties and in our setlists, so they make the cut. Enjoy!
Mind the bonus track – hat tip to Josh, who’s done the vocals for Xinobi’s Best of Me. This guy’s so making it in 2010, so keep an eye out. Coming tomorrow on this series, Moulinex’s selection.
